GST 2025 New Slab Changes – 22nd September થી લાગુ ✨
Indiaની Goods and Services Tax (GST) Council એ 22 September 2025 થી મોટા ફેરફારો announce કર્યા છે. અત્યાર સુધી 4 slabs હતાં – 5%, 12%, 18% અને 28%. હવે એ બધાને simplify કરીને માત્ર બે slabs કરવામાં આવ્યા છે:
👉 5% (lower rate)
👉 18% (standard rate)
What Changed?
12% slab completely remove કરી દેવામાં આવ્યો છે.
12% હેઠળ આવતાં processed foods, clothing, footwear, construction materials, hotels હવે 5% GST હેઠળ આવશે.
Standard items 18% slab હેઠળ જ રહેશે.
Luxury goods માટે નવો 40% cess/levy introduce કર્યો છે, જે 28% slab ને replace કરશે.
Why This Change? 💬
GST councilનું main aim છે simplification.
Business compliance easy બનશે.
Consumersને કેટલાક products સસ્તા મળશે.
Luxury consumption પર વધુ tax government collect કરી શકશે.

પહેલાં hotel stay પર 12% GST લાગતો હતો → હવે 5% થશે.
Branded footwear (12% slab) → હવે 5% slab.
Normal household items જે પહેલાં 18% હતાં → 18% જ રહેશે.
Luxury cars જે પહેલાં 28% હતાં → હવે 40% tax.
